House Plants

For Valentine's Day, Brooks got me purple irises. They're my favorite flowers. He told me that he almost got me some in a pot but he wanted something that would die in a week. Isn't that so morbid? When I asked him why he said that if we had one more house plant this place would turn into a greenhouse. I don't know what he's talking about. I only have 10 house plants around here!
In my defense, three of them were bought for 25 cents each. You can't beat that. One of them is a fern and the poor thing is naked from the bottom of the stems to about 3 inches up. But they're all growing like weeds. (They're not weeds.) I also have an African Violet that I got from Brooks' mom. It was in bad shape but is doing great now.
I like plants. All you have to do is water them and put them in the right spot and they'll grow.
